Pet cats rescue Glen Burnie couple from burning homePublished 05/31/05
A Glen Burnie family living without power escaped their burning home early Sunday after their cats awakened them. Ronald W. Hugel Jr., his wife and their cats crawled through a rear window of their small, split level home at 220 Main Ave. SW without any injuries. The fire was one of many incidents that dotted the Memorial Day weekend, including a boating incident yesterday afternoon near Sandy Point State Park, two motorcycle crashes and a motorist who drove into the back of a store in Gambrills.
