County police who responded at 11:20 a.m. to a 911 call reporting gunshots at 525 Kintop Road found Robert Neil Boner and Carolyn Ruth Boner in a bedroom.
Mrs. Boner, 58, had already died. Mr. Boner, 62, was taken to North Arundel Hospital, where he died, according to Sgt. Shawn A. Urbas, a police department spokesman.
Each had been shot once. Officers recovered a firearm but declined to describe it.
