Husband who drowned trying to save wife is 'real hero'Published 06/21/05
Maryland Natural Resources Police are thanking three men who helped save the life of a Nashville woman near Horn Point Saturday. But the honor is somewhat bittersweet for the rescuers - Duncan Pickett, Andrew Longnecker and James Fitzmaurice. All three rushed to the aid of 27-year-old Sheila Miller and her 35-year-old husband, Ensign Scott Miller, but only Mrs. Miller survived. "I couldn't care less about (being recognized)," said Mr. Pickett, 31. "I feel terrible for the family. This guy is the real hero because he kept his wife from drowning."
