FORT MEADE - County police are doing an internal review of the way an assault on a Meade High School student was investigated.
Lt. Joseph Jordan, a police spokesman, said the probe follows the acquittal June 16 of the only student charged in the Jan. 28 attack. Police charged one student with assault and racial or religious harassment, a hate-crimes charge. The victim, who is white, said about 10 to 15 African-American students attacked him, but only one could be identified.
