Meeting aims to breathe life into air quality movementPublished 09/11/05
Steve Peregoy's job is trying to get people to take air pollution personally. The president and CEO of the American Lung Association of Maryland, Mr. Peregoy wants people to cut down on driving, keep their cars in tip-top shape and limit the use of polluting powerboats and lawnmowers when air quality is poor. "What we are trying to do is approach it with, 'What are you doing in your daily life?' " he said.
