Median price of water properties around Annapolis hits $1.7 million

With home prices nearly doubling over the past five years, waterfront properties, particularly in the Annapolis area, have been a driving force in the real estate market, eclipsing sales records along the way.

Of the 246 homes that sold for more than $1 million in the county between September 2004 and August, 66 were waterfront properties in the Annapolis ZIP codes, according to an analysis of real estate data by The Capital. Six of those properties were among the 10 most expensive waterfront homes sold during the period.
