County Council hears rage over roadway signsPublished 10/18/05
"Bandit signs" that defile county roadways and distract drivers should be wiped out with tough new laws, a group of residents told the County Council last night. Many of the dozen or so speakers said a bill allowing county inspectors to remove illegal road signs in public right-of-ways is a good start, but doesn't go far enough. "Concerned citizens are trying to do something about this sign trash," said Charlotte Moreland of Edgewater. "But we can't do it alone."
