State may opt for all-electronic tolling at the Bay BridgePublished 10/20/05
The Maryland Transportation Authority might eliminate all toll booths at the Bay Bridge to ease summer beach backups, Executive Secretary Trent M. Kittleman said yesterday. Ms. Kittleman told the Board of Public Works she asked her staff four months ago to draft a plan to move the entire bridge to "overhead tolling." But she cautioned that "is probably a three-year process at best," and other officials said it could take even longer.
