The state Critical Area Commission is appealing the county's decision to let a Magothy River island home stand even though it was built without proper permits. Citing eight reasons why Administrative Hearing Officer Stephen M. LeGendre was wrong to grant variances for the Little Dobbins Island home, the state Attorney General's Office last week asked the county Board of Appeals to overturn the ruling.
