Supporters of a state bill that would make county school board members stand for election could have their best chance in decades to win the change next year. Two months before the General Assembly reconvenes in January, Del. Mary Ann Love and three other delegates have pre-filed a bill that would replace a nominating convention system with a 15-member commission and a clause that lets voters kick out a member.
