City Council OKs annexations along Forest DrivePublished 11/29/05
City Council members ended their final meeting of the year last night by approving two controversial annexations along Forest Drive and tweaking other laws to support projects already in the pipeline. Over objections from two outgoing alderwomen and a dozen residents, the council changed a bill lowering the maximum height allowed on West Street to exempt three builders with pending condominium projects, and approved a temporary moratorium prohibiting development on annexed land.
