Annexation proposal before City Council : Shopping center may come to Bay Ridge RoadPublished 03/12/06
An Annapolis City Council member plans to introduce an annexation bill tomorrow that would incorporate several acres of county land into the city limits where it would be available for developers. The bill, sponsored by Alderman Sam Shropshire, D-Ward 7, would subsume about 6 acres of land off the southwest side of Bay Ridge Road across from its intersection with Georgetown Road. If the ordinance is passed Glenbrook Real Estate Investments and Development hopes to create a community business center that would include an upscale grocer, dining establishments and a gourmet coffee shop.
