Aboard her red kayak in Ego Alley, Renata Chlumska was happy to talk to human beings for a change. The 32-year-old Swede usually spends her time talking to herself or chatting up dolphins. But then again, marine mammals don't raise their eyebrows when the adventurer tells them what she's doing in the water. Ms. Chlumska is circumnavigating the lower 48 states in an 11,200-mile journey over water and land that takes extreme sports to an entirely new level.
