For the 15th consecutive year, hundreds of volunteers throughout Annapolis on Saturday will clean, sweep, rake, plant and mulch public spaces, giving the area a much-needed sprucing up after a winter of hard wear. Fifty-one separate projects will get underway shortly after dawn and continue late into the afternoon in some areas, city Recreation and Parks Director Leeann Plumer said. The city will provide some native plants, mulch, trash bags and gloves, but volunteers will provide sweat equity and reap the benefits of cleaner, greener walkways, common areas and roadways.
