Legum named District Court judge, replaces RicksPublished 06/09/06
When Jonas D. Legum got a call Tuesday night from a man claiming to be the governor, he thought it was another joke. Last year, prosecutor Dan Andrews had called Mr. Legum, posing as someone from the governor's staff, to tell him he hadn't gotten a District Court judgeship for which he'd interviewed. Instead, the job was going to a dark-horse candidate, the much younger Mr. Andrews. Mr. Legum didn't fall for it that time, but in fact Mr. Andrews was right - he didn't get the job.
