Report: Schools are in need of $1.5 billiion in repairsPublished 07/13/06
A landmark study presented to the Board of Education yesterday said it will take $1.5 billion to fix the county's aging schools. The report from Florida-based MGT of America also called for redrawing the boundary lines for more than a third of Anne Arundel's elementary schools. But the proposals stopped short of large-scale school redistricting, following an outcry from parents in Severna Park. "We've paid attention to what people are saying," said Ed Humble, the lead consultant on the project.
