Boat propeller injures Kent Island teenagerPublished 08/04/06
An spinning boat propeller seriously injured a Stevensville teenager near Kent Island Wednesday, prompting boating advocates to issue a warning about the potential danger not taught in most safety courses. The 15-year-old boy was with two other teenagers - another 15-year-old boy from Stevensville and a 16-year-old boy from Easton - on his parents' 25-foot Sea Ray just south of the Bay Bridge. The other 15-year-old was operating the boat while the victim was tubing, Natural Resources Police said.
