32-inch TV falls on Crofton child

A 32-inch television and dresser fell over last night, critically injuring a 2-year-old Crofton girl, county police and fire officials said.

Myelly Rivera, of 2906 Cold Spring Way, was unconscious and not breathing when flown to the Children's National Medical Center. Lt. Russ Davies, county fire spokesman, described her injuries - bleeding from the nose and ears - as critical and life threatening.

A hospital spokesman refused to release her condition this morning; however, a receptionist said she was not listed as a patient.
