The sheriff raised more than $400,000 between Jan. 12 and Aug. 8, his campaign manager said yesterday.
That amount towered over the money raised by Dennis Callahan, Sheriff Johnson's sole opponent in the Sept. 12 Democratic primary.
Among the Republican executive candidates, Del. David Boschert was the top fund-raiser with a little more than $302,000. But about $240,000 of that comes from his own pockets.
