City adds Zodiac boat to its fleet : Stevensville company donates boat for police and fire usePublished 09/15/06
The fact that Annapolis didn't have a Zodiac boat was often a touchy subject for J.J. Marie. So the Annapolis man, president and chief executive officer of Zodiac of North America on Kent Island, donated one of his rigid-inflatable boats to the city. The keys to the 21-foot boat were presented to city officials at the Fleet Reserve Club yesterday. The Harbormaster's Office will maintain the boat, but it will be available to city police and firefighters, who will also receive training on the boats.
