Under current zoning, fewer than 6,400 acres of land are currently available for commercial and industrial development in Anne Arundel County, according to a county report released last week.
Officials said there's enough commercially and industrially zoned land to meet the county's current needs. But a lack of buildable land could spell trouble for county taxpayers or anyone seeking a place to work, eat or shop in the coming years.
