In the aftermath of the latest major Main Street fire, at least one Annapolis alderman wants to force property owners to install sprinklers.
But while Alderwoman Julie Stankivic, I-Ward 6, wants fire-dousing systems in all Historic District commercial buildings, Alderman David Cordle, R-Ward 5, prefers a gradual approach. The two are working on separate bills that could call on businesses and homes across Annapolis to install sprinklers.
