"It was kind of a run-through for us as the first snow, but not a major snow," said county spokesman Rhonda Wardlaw.
One inch of snow fell at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, according to the National Weather Service.
The snowflakes sent road crews to work early yesterday afternoon, salting and plowing the area's highways. The county government sent 61 teams out to battle the weather.
