Have you seen those canines on television jumping off piers after a chew toy? Well, the next DockDogs world champion could be from right here in Anne Arundel County. And better yet, Finley was adopted from the local SPCA.
Finley, a Rhodesian Ridgeback mixed-breed, has only jumped in five events. But he caught the attention of the DockDog world when he unofficially topped the indoor world record earlier this month at Harrisburg, Pa.
He jumped 27 feet 6 inches, besting the indoor mark by 2 feet. It was unofficial because the event, put on by the Keystone DockDogs organization, wasn't a nationally sanctioned meet where more...
