Anne Arundel County paroled a violent offender Friday morning who served less than two weeks behind bars, instead sentencing him to a lifetime of house arrest.

Henry ''Mr. Moochie'' Thomas peers out from his carrier after he was released from the Millersville Animal Control facility after serving a 10-day sentence.The assailant, Thomas, who has been known to use the aliases Henry and Mr. Moochie, is a gray and white tom cat who has been a beloved fixture on Maryland Avenue for nearly a decade. But after biting a child nearly two weeks ago - friends say he was provoked - Thomas will be exiled from the street, and his adopted family has stepped forward to find him a permanent home. "Just the thought of him in a cage these last 10 days is so sad. I hope he doesn't come out a changed...
