Charles Vernon, who kept the deer on his property, and Joel Keith Valentine, who owned them, were in violation of a state permit and consented to the seizure, said Sgt. Ken Turner, a spokesman for Natural Resources Police.
The deer were tranquilized by the Department of Natural Resources' Wildlife and Heritage Service, tested for disease and euthanized.
