More bad news: Air dirtier than bayPublished 05/01/07
Anne Arundel County's report card for air quality was issued this morning and the grades are not good: F's all around. The county earned F's for ozone and particle pollution on the latest "State of the Air" report from the American Lung Association. And though it might seem impossible, the grades for the local air are actually worse than the dismal grades given to our local waterways. The county's rivers earned a D- and the whole Chesapeake Bay earned a D+ in a recent report card from the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science.
