Officials investigate 'hot gas'Published 07/04/07
Maryland Department of Agriculture inspectors are adding thermometers to their calibration tools as they make their routine rounds at gas stations. Working with the Comptroller's Office, the inspectors in charge of verifying weights and measures, will also test the temperature of gasoline throughout the state for the next year. Comptroller Peter Franchot and Agriculture Secretary Roger Richardson announced Tuesday a yearlong study in to "hot gas."
