Heavy winds and frigid temperatures last week sidelined a Hillsmere man climbing K2 in Pakistan, delaying a push for the summit originally planned for this past weekend. Chris Warner is leading the trek up the mountain, the second-tallest in the world at 28,251 feet. It's his third attempt at the grueling climb. Mr. Warner and companions, Pasquale Scaturro and Don Bowie, made the treacherous climb to the third of four encampments on the mountain's face, the last stop before setting out for the summit.
