A Harness Creek live-aboard gave Natural Resources Police a run - or rather, a swim - for their money twice in five days this month during drunken boating investigations.
Police first came into contact with the 40-year-old man at about 1:15 a.m. July 1 after receiving a report of an intoxicated boater at the controls of a small white dinghy on the South River near Loch Haven, according to Sgt. Ken Turner, a Natural Resources Police spokesman.
An officer chased down the boat and directed the operator to come aboard the patrol boat so he could be taken ashore for field sobriety tests.
