Veterans cemetery gets $2 million federal grantPublished 07/14/07
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs awarded nearly $2 million to the veterans cemetery in Crownsville as part of a decade-long planning process to construct another 4,500 burial plots and urn niches.
"With the expansion of this state veterans cemetery, VA ensures that memorial benefits for Maryland veterans will be available for many more years," Secretary of Veterans Affairs Jim Nicholson said.
