A homeless man who stomped two cats to death last summer in Annapolis was released from prison yesterday after complaining to a judge that he was being sexually abused by other inmates.
Michael Alan Poole, 24, who was described by his attorney as bipolar and developmentally disabled, served about 11 months of his two-year sentence. He'll move in with a friend while a social worker tries to place him into a treatment program, his attorney said.
Poole, who will be on supervised probation for the next three years, admitted he killed the pets of 86-year-old Annie Parker.
