Phillips' Seafood president dies at 50Published 07/17/07
Mark Sneed, the man responsible for establishing Phillips Foods and Seafood Restaurants' international sales force, died after a heart attack in his Riva home Monday morning.

Mr. Sneed, 50, was involved with the restaurant industry for 30 years.
In the 11 years Mr. Sneed ran the company, he led the effort to have Phillips products added to 56 percent of grocery stores nationwide. They now appear in more than 15,000 stores and hundreds of distributors nationwide. He also introduced its frozen seafood line and expanded the firm's workforce to include 2,000 Maryland employees.
