Global warming hot topic in movies

There are two new movies that have global warming as a central theme - but don't worry, there are no slide shows or former vice presidents involved.

Instead there are endearing polar bears and movie stars.

 

The kid-friendly movie "Arctic Tale" already is playing in a few local theaters. It features polar bears and walruses facing shrinking habitat due to global warming.

The footage is real, and so are the problems facing the animals, but scenes of various animals are stitched together to form composite characters. Queen Latifah narrates the 85-minute film.

And for adults, there is "The 11th Hour," a documentary...
