A local loaf of bread took a turn toward stardom with actor Russell Crowe yesterday when "Body of Lies" filmed in front of Cakes and Confections Gourmet Bakery in St. Margarets.

Mr. Crowe has been filming scenes from the upcoming terrorism thriller in the Annapolis area for the past week. "It was something to see," said owner Michael Brown, whose confections and family members got to share a tiny bit of screen time with the actor.
Though the family isn't ready to apply for the Screen Actors Guild just yet, Mr. Brown said they were excited when location scouts approached them earlier this week while preparing to film in the neighborhood. The movie is a great addition to both the County and State resume'. So it blocked traffic for a little bit, come next year the people will be bragging about the situation instead of cutting it down. Congrats MD!
