With residents on alert after a spate of violent crimes around Annapolis, one annual festival is hoping to promote themes of peace and non-violence through music and art.
Known as "the positive event of the year," the drug and alcohol-free Flawless Music Festival, now in its fourth year, will kick off at noon Saturday at Truxtun Park.
Starring Chuck Brown, considered the "Godfather of Go-Go," the festival also features Annapolis-based hip-hop group Flawless as well as other area performers, including Bowie-based Planet SB, Raheem and The Grilled Lincolns, said organizer Marcus Hayes, a member of Flawless who raps under the name...
