The sales tax will go up by a cent and expand to some services, Marylanders who make more than $150,000 a year will pay more in income taxes, and slot machines will come to the state, according to legislators who attended a meeting this morning where Gov. Martin O'Malley unveiled his budget plan.
In a gathering at the Governor's Mansion, Mr. O'Malley gave some details of what it will take to close the $1.5 billion deficit the state faces next year.
