Teen gets 2 years for killing newbornPublished 10/03/07
A county judge yesterday sentenced an Arnold teenager to serve time in a juvenile facility for killing her newborn son in 2005.
But because Megan Patria, now 19, was tried as a juvenile, she only can be held until she turns 21. That's in about 24 months.
Circuit Court Judge Nancy Davis-Loomis did not know yesterday to which facility the former Broadneck High School student would go or specify how long she wanted her locked up. She ordered the state's Department of Juvenile Services to investigate, find an appropriate facility and report back to court on Oct. 26.
