A search for support of slot machines in the county's western-most reaches comes up with more lemons than lucky 7's.
Laurel Park would likely receive 4,250 slot machines, more than any other location in the state, under a proposal by Gov. Martin O'Malley.
Community leaders who live near the track are generally opposed to it. The anti-slot lobby has the support of county councilmen who represent the area, but doesn't have the same unwavering support of the state legislators who must make the decision.
