Maryland's state parks are in a "state of crisis" and need a multiyear infusion of cash to be brought back up to snuff, according to a new report.
Chronic underfunding and administrative reorganizations have led to staff shortages - and a resulting decline in public programs and supervision of the parks, according to the report by the Department of Natural Resources.
