Security for peace talks cost $200,000Published 12/13/07
Maryland first responders spent $200,000 keeping the peace at last month's peace conference, but citing security concerns, they're staying generally mum about how that money was spent.
The one-day summit to open negotiations between Israeli and Palestinian leaders attracted hundreds of diplomats, protesters and international journalists to Annapolis. Hundreds of officers from various federal, state and local agencies also were called in to maintain order throughout the event.
