Maryland's leaders are confident the state will have the right infrastructure, training and manpower in place to meet the challenge of the Base Realignment and Closure Process.
Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown presented the government's "BRAC Action Plan" to Gov. Martin O'Malley yesterday, outlining what the state needs to do to prepare for an influx of 60,000 jobs by 2015, with 10,000 of those coming to or near Fort George G. Meade in Anne Arundel County.
The report was created by the governor's BRAC subcabinet, which is chaired by Mr. Brown.
