Residents worry about future of dairy farm

In a few months, the county will have control of the former Naval Academy Dairy.

It will cost the county around $320,000 a year in rent and operational costs to maintain the land. However, the county's budget is always tight and fiscal crunches at the state level may mean that counties receive fewer state dollars. The farm's neighbors are worried that penny-pinching politicians will eventually ax the farm from the budget and lose control of the facility
