County could offer recycling for businessesPublished 01/25/08
Small businesses that struggle to pay private contractors for recycling pickups could soon have a new option: curbside collection by the county.

Students from Shipley's Choice Elementary and Lothian Elementary decorated dumpster-sized recycling bins that will be put in parks this spring. They are now being stored at the Millersville Landfill until the season comes around.
The County Council will consider a bill that would establish a voluntary recycling program for businesses. Participants would have to pay for the service, but the intention is to make it more affordable than hiring a private recycling hauler.
