Man hit by vehicle on Mayo Road
EDGEWATER - A man was critically injured this morning when he was struck by a vehicle in Edgewater, county Fire Department officials said.
The 74-year-old Edgewater man was crossing Mayo Road, near Carlson's Donuts and Thai Kitchen, about 6 a.m. when he was struck, said Battalion Chief Matthew Tobia, a county Fire Department spokesman. He was struck by a vehicle traveling south, county police officials said. The man was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with life-threatening injuries.
