'Wounded Warriors' to tour cityPublished 04/26/08
Sgt. Brian Schar lost both of his legs last September in Iraq.
He's spent most of the past seven months in physical therapy at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, learning how to walk on two prosthetic legs.
But, afraid he still wasn't pushing himself enough, Sgt. Schar decided to take up biking. "I don't want to be one of those guys sitting around feeling sorry for themselves," he said yesterday in Severna Park. "I just want to walk. I don't want to sit on my butt for the next 60 years." Sgt. Schar and about 20 other "wounded warriors" biked through Anne Arundel county yesterday...
