John Scott Bealefeld, 43, who is described by his attorney as bipolar and schizophrenic, was found "not criminally responsible" for the July 14 murder of his 76-year-old father, Maurice Bealefeld. He was committed to a state mental hospital until doctors there determine he no longer is a danger to society and a judge orders his release.
