Teen summit targets drug, alcohol abusePublished 05/08/08
This is one workshop where teens are guaranteed to be climbing the wall - but that's a good thing. The first-ever Teen Summit on Saturday at Anne Arundel Community College will feature a rock wall, laser tag, other sports activities and a live DJ, but the event has a serious purpose as well: fighting underage drinking and drug abuse. Mixed in with the entertainment will be a keynote address from motivational speaker Justin Lookadoo and workshops led by two young adults who've battled addictions.
