The first-ever Teen Summit on Saturday at Anne Arundel Community College will feature a rock wall, laser tag, other sports activities and a live DJ, but the event has a serious purpose as well: fighting underage drinking and drug abuse.
Mixed in with the entertainment will be a keynote address from motivational speaker Justin Lookadoo and workshops led by two young adults who've battled addictions.
The free summit is just one of several related events sponsored by the county's Local Management Board.
