Less than a year after Annapolis found itself on the world stage for hosting Middle East peace talks, the state capital has been chosen for another global forum. The U.S. Treasury Department announced yesterday that the Naval Academy this month will host key economic talks between the United States and China. Set for June 17-18, the high-level talks launched in December 2006 are designed to persuade China to address a host of contentious trade issues, including the Chinese currency. American manufacturers say the Chinese currency is undervalued by as much as 40 percent and gives Chinese producers a huge price...
