HARWOOD - A serious crash in south county yesterday sent three people to the hospital, officials said.
Multiple vehicles were involved in a crash at 12:15 p.m. at the intersection of Route 2 and Harwood Road in Harwood, said Battalion Chief Matthew Tobia, a county Fire Department spokesman.
A 13-year-old girl was thrown from one of the vehicles and was flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to Children's National Medical Center in Washington in serious condition, Chief Tobia said.
